Care Services Personal Care

Personal Care

Respectful help with personal routines, delivered with dignity and privacy.

Who this service can help

Anyone who would benefit from a helping hand with washing, dressing or other personal routines — including people recovering from illness, living with a disability, or finding these tasks harder as they get older.

What support may include

  • Washing, bathing or showering support
  • Dressing and grooming
  • Toileting and continence routines
  • Mobility support within the care plan
  • Skin-care routines within staff competence
  • Morning and evening routines

How this support is personalised

Needing help with personal routines can feel very personal — so we make it unhurried and centred on the individual's choices wherever possible. The same care worker, the same way of doing things, at the pace the person prefers.

What families can expect

Dignity and privacy come first: doors closed, choices respected, and nothing done to someone that can be done with them.

How the service starts

Every support plan begins with a conversation and an assessment. We listen first, agree the plan with you before care begins, and review regularly so support keeps fitting the person. See how arranging care works.

Available across Somerset — see Areas We Cover for detail.
