Care and support in Plymouth

Plymouth’s maritime neighbourhoods, from the Hoe to Mannamead, Plymstock and Saltash across the Tamar, are all areas where we provide care at home. Our support ranges from companionship and daily visits through to full personal care and recovery support after hospital.

How care is arranged here

Arranging care in Plymouth starts with a conversation. We listen first — what is happening, what matters to the person, and what a good week of support would look like — then agree a plan before any care begins.

Support can range from a short weekly visit to several calls a day, including personal care, companionship, medication prompts, meals and outings. Plans are reviewed regularly and adjusted as needs change.

Every visit is delivered by trained, checked care workers who are introduced before support starts, so the same familiar faces return wherever possible.

Getting around and local context

Plymouth is the largest city on the South West peninsula, connected to the M5 by the A38 and linked to Cornwall by the Tamar Bridge. Local knowledge of the city’s one-way systems and estates keeps our rounds realistic.
